Hydromagic Manual Draft Plugin

The Hydromagic Manual Draft Plugin is a plugin with graphical user interface designed to let you set the current draft level manually. You can use this plugin in Hydromagic Dredging to adjust the draft of your hopper dredger manually in cases where there is no pressure sensor installed through the hull to determine the draft level. This plugin can also be used in Hydromagic Survey when you have to adjust the draft because of persons boarding, or fuel consumption.

Loading the manual draft plugin

To load this plugin, open the preferences window by selecting "Preferences..." from the "Options" menu. In the window that appears, select the 'Devices' tab. Next, click the 'Add...' button.

Select the "Devices" tab and click the "Add..." button.

A list of available plugins will be displayed. In this list, select 'Hydromagic Manual Draft Plugin' and click 'OK' to load and display the plugin's user interface.

Select "Hydromagic Manual Draft Plugin" and click "OK".

Using the manual draft plugin

Once the manual draft plugin has been loaded, it will add draft measurements to the dredging data each time a new dredging depth or elevation is calculated. When the manual draft plugin is used, the draft level calculated from a RTK receiver or a pressure sensor will be ignored.

To change the draft level, you can adjust the draft using the 'Increase Draft' and 'Decrease Draft' buttons. To enter an exact value, enter the new draft value in the edit field and click the 'Update Draft' button to apply it.

Unloading the manual draft plugin

To unload the manual draft plugin window, open the preferences window by selecting "Preferences..." from the "Options" menu. In the window that appears, select the "Devices" tab. Next select the "Hydromagic Manual Draft Plugin", right-click and select "Remove Device..." from the popup menu. When the plugin is unloaded (either removed from the devices list or when the software is stopped), the current draft level and window position are stored. The next time the plugin is loaded, the user interface will appear in the same screen location and the last known manual draft value will be displayed.
